Halestorm their 2012 track "Break In" today, the 31st, and this time, Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee seems to make the song even better.
The collaboration will be featured on the band's new EP, titled Halestorm: Reimagined , which, as the title suggests, will include new versions of five of the band's songs, and a cover of the classic "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston .
“For the last decade, we’ve been releasing cover EPs in between each original album just for fun. But now, we’ve decided to change things up!” explains vocalist Lzzy Hale . “For our Reimagined , we’re committed to having only one cover but filling the rest with reimagined versions of Halestorm songs. It was a lot of fun remaking some of our favorite songs.”
Regarding the great collaboration with Lee, the singer says, “One of the highlights of our EP is a duet of our song 'Break In' with the incredibly incomparable Amy Lee. We recorded this duet pre-COVID-19, together in the same room, live, as a complete performance from beginning to end.”
“Amy brought a new meaning to the song, transforming what was once just a love song into a declaration of unity and mutual support. I hope you find something in Reimagined that brings happiness and hope in these crazy times we are living in!” Hale declares.
